Welcome!

Hello!  My name is Angela.  Mom to 3 beautiful kids age 25, 20, and 12.  I have a studio in Sarnia by appointment, and enjoy photographing  other sessions on location outdoors and in client homes for lifestyle sessions. I've been passionate about photography since I was just a teenager with a point and shoot camera.  After studying to become a doula and attending a few births, I realized that I could combine my passion for the miracle that is birth, and the beauty of children and families and my passion for photography and maybe be lucky enough to have a career that allowed me to be present for my own family.  Most happy when providing documentary style photography in the location of your choice, I prefer to work with natural light when possible.  With a minimalist approach to editing, in that I will tend not to manipulate photographs to be something they are not,  I feel drawn to natural  posing and editing, and my favorite thing to do is capture those honest moments that make your family perfect just the way it is...and  feel like I am pretty darn good at it!   I have a knack for working with babies and children whos parents describe as being "difficult to photograph" because I have a wealth of patience and will work with them until they are comfortable with me and the camera, and I do not feel like the "perfect shot" necessarily means posing for the camera.  Some of the best photographs are taken in the moments in between.  
My focus is on maternity through adolescent sessions, including and especially birth stories for those interested, though I'm open to anything and love a challenge. Please contact me for information if you are interested in booking a session or discussing any ideas you might have!
